As Christians we are not prone from life struggles. We all will go though some kind of difficulty at some point in our lives. Difficulties and hurts sometimes will make you bitter. You will either grow up or give up. Most time God will bring some kind of storm in our lives to shape us the way God wants us to be or our hearts will become hard. You have to decide how you are going to respond to the storm you might be dealing with.
Storm comes in many forms. Death of a loved one, brake up of a relationship, health issues, employment financial barriers to name a few that can throw us in a world wind. It’s during these time we feel like giving up.
My message to you don’t give up God is on your side even when you think he is not listen. Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. Hebrew 12:10 teaches sometimes God allows us to go through tough times “for our good in order that we may share in his holiness’’ It hard to imagine a loving God will ever allow hardship into our lives. However, God allowed Jesus to face difficult times to prepare Him for the cross. When we endure hardship in our own lives, God is preparing us for greater things.
We are not the only one to ever go through difficulties. The great prophet Jeremiah, at one point in life he was ready to give up. In fact he cried out and said to the Lord, ”Lord, I think I’ll just quit the ministry and get me a little motel on the side of the road and let things go by.” He felt like giving up. David said; I cry aloud with my voice to the Lord; I make supplication with my voice to the Lord. I pour out my complaint before Him; I declare my trouble before Him. When my spirit was overwhelmed within me, You knew my path. In the way where I walk. They have hidden a trap for me. Look to the right and see; For there is no one who regards me; There is no escape for me; No one cares for my soul” (Psalm 142). I want to remind you as a servant of God, your God will not forsake his people, for his great name’s sake, because it pleased the Lord to make you a people for himself.
Father, I humbly approach your throne of grace and mercy today, asking that you touch the lives of those who are struggling, battling and fighting with difficult decisions on their next steps in life.
God I know you have a destiny and a hope for your children. I pray that you transform their thoughts into the image of your son. I ask that you be their spiritual rescuer in your name I pray.
