Philippians 4:1-2 Therefore, my dear brothers whom I long for, my joy and my victor’s crown, this is how you must stand firm in the Lord, dear friends. I urge Euodia and Syntyche to have the same attitude in the Lord.

Moses chosen by God, place in a place of authority and power, living in luxury and godlessness. In spite of all this Moses chose to stand firm, he also encouraged the Israelites to stand firm against  pharaoh and army and not to give in to the temptation to forsake their God and return to slavery when the chariots of Egypt cornered Israel at the Red Sea (Ex. 14:1–14).

Later Isaiah called the people to stand firm in the truth of their covenant Lord and not to trust in worthless idols (Isa. 46) however you do in life stand on the word of God He will never let you down.
