Living with integrity means doing what one knows is right, whether in public or in private. There are many examples in the Bible.
Exodus 1:17 tells us that the nation of Israel was growing in numbers despite the oppression it was receiving from the Egyptians. To combat the growth of the Israelites, the king of Egypt commanded all the Hebrew midwives to kill any newborn males.
But the women feared God and did not do as the king of Egypt commanded them, but let the male babies live. "What this shows is that we are to fear God more than men." Despite the risk, they decided to let the Hebrew male babies live, and God blessed them for it. One of the babies was Moses, who became a forceful leader for God's people. Whatever we do in life, if we live with integrity, we will never go wrong.
As leaders, we are called to live in righteousness and faithfulness, whether other people are around or not. It is vital that integrity be present in everything that we do. If we look at the life of Job, during trials, he lives a life of integrity despite various forms of persecution. Therefore, be an example, both in front of others and when no one else is looking.
